Fumaroles are vents that breathe out hot gas and vapour. They sit on rocky and metal-rich worlds whose volcanism gives them their kind: sulphur dioxide, silicate vapour or water.
Like all geological sites they show as geological signals after a detailed surface scan. The rocks around them are a good place to collect raw materials with an SRV, and Fumerola grows nearby.
