Aleoida grow as a low rosette of fleshy, pointed leaves close to the ground. They keep to cold, thin atmospheres of carbon dioxide or ammonia on rocky and metal-rich worlds, and stay on the lighter planets.

Their colour follows the class of the star the planet orbits. Gravis and Arcus are among the better-paying species of any genus, so a body that lists Aleoida is worth landing on.
